The Health & Safety Commission’s Code Of Practice, issued under the authority of the Health & Safety at Work Act, states that all employers must ensure that Forklift Operators are adequately trained.
Our Forklift Operator Courses are designed to meet the requirements of this Code Of Practice and help operators use trucks both safely and efficiently. Courses are carried out by our fully accredited instructors and training certificates to satisfy the Code of Practice are issued on satisfactory completion of training.

Practical Training
- Introduction to the equipment
- Daily inspection, take-over & maintenance
- Starting, stopping, steering
- Simple corners & manoeuvring
- Operation of Hydraulics
- Weight Assessment
- Handling laden & unladen pallets
- Manoeuvring in confined spaces
- Driving on & off ramps
- Vehicle loading & unloading
- Handling awkward loads
- Practical tests
Courses
We are currently offering the following range of courses to ensure that your training needs are fully supplied. Novice Course (5 Day)
Aimed at people with no previous experience
Operator Course (3 Day)
Aimed at people who have had previous operating experience, but either do not have a certificate or are unable to provide proof that they held one
Refresher Course (1 Day)
For those operators who have been trained and tested in the UK in the past, and are able to provide the certificate (or copy of) proving that they have had this
Conversion Course
For those operators who already hold a certificate in one type of fork truck, but would like to gain a certificate in another type. This often results in a much wider appeal to prospective employers.
All of our courses include the following:
- Training to National Standards
- Full Certification and Test Fees
- Provision of ID card with photograph
- Certificate of Basic Training
- A detailed course manual with working exercises (except Refresher courses)
