CSCS was set up to help the construction industry to improve quality and reduce accidents.

CSCS cards are increasingly demanded as proof of occupational competence by contractors, public and private clients and others. They cover hundreds of occupations so whatever you do in construction there will be a card that is suitable for you.

The CSCS Card is increasingly becoming accepted as the non-negotiable requirement by employers throughout building and construction – whereby workers must now have it to ensure basic eligibility in selection for employment on many sites that they may wish to be offered work on.

Obtain the CORRECT CSCS SKILLcard and you will find work more easily as you will be eligible for work for most major construction companies sites and on building sites , including the upcoming Commonwealth Games 2022.

CSCS Health and safety test

In most cases, to apply for a CSCS card (site operatives only), you must have passed the construction skills health and safety test within the past two years. Exemptions to this requirement are listed below.

Aim of the test

The aim of the test is to examine knowledge across a wide range of health and safety topics in order to improve safety and productivity on site. It is usually taken as a PC-based touch screen test at either a mobile testing unit or an accredited test centre.
