ET-43 Configuring Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure

Course Overview

This instructor-led course provides students with an understanding of migrating and deploying Windows Server 2008. Special emphasis is given to upgrading common server configurations and using the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit. This course will introduce students to the Windows 2008 Terminal Services by developing skills to configure, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot a Terminal Services (TS) environment. The course also focuses on configuring of Terminal Services (TS) core functionality, licensing, Gateway, and Web Access. In addition students will learn to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot an Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0 Web Server in Windows Server 2008.

On completion of this course, students will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to attempt: Exam 70-643: TS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure, Configuring When you pass Exam 70-643, you complete the requirement for the following certification:

Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure, Configuration Exam 70-643 also counts as credit toward the following Certifications:
Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Enterprise Administrator

What Are The Entry Requirements?

Students should have Reading Age Level (RAL) of 13.
Prior experience with Windows Server 2000 or 2003 desired but not required.

A textbook and Lab manual will be provided.

Course Duration

The course will be held on every Saturday or Sunday and will complete in 6 to 8 weeks. Every session will last for 5 hours including 2.5 hours of theory and 1.5 hours for labs with flexible breaks. Extra time will be given to students willing to practice on lab equipment.

How Much The Course Will Cost?

The fee for this course is £675. You must be able to pay the full fee before the start of the

course. However, students enrolling for more than one course may arrange payment by instalments with our finance department.
